Wednesday check-in: M.S. came in lit up. Said she missed a step going from the kitchen to the dining room and felt the same wobble she's been afraid of for years. Except this time her right leg actually held. Her words: 'I didn't even reach for anything. I just stood there.' I had to ask her to repeat it twice because she said it so casually.
Looking at the log, eight weeks of slow tempo split-squats, banded mini-circles, and the boring single-leg balance work she pretended not to like is finally cashing in. We're keeping the boring work in. We're adding load.
